Former British MP, now head of a joined business investment company, is on an official visit in Somaliland.
Ms. Edna Aden Ismail welcomed the envoy headed by Sir Tony Baldry; former Mp of the conservative party was accompanied by Ian Fenwick, Yusuf Ahmed Hersi, Mohamed Abdirahman and a Mr. Markus who are expected to meet newly elected president, Muse Bihi Abdi and several members of his cabinet ministers, in hope of getting too know each other and also discuss vital investment plans.
In 2015, Anglo Somaliland Resources (ASR) was formed after a meeting then president of Somaliland, Ahmed Mohamed Silanyo were granted a contract license to develop the country’s 850-KM marine coast line. ASR officials also have done their share of community work since its establishment, by donating much needed hospital supply in three different regions and their endless commitment of support when its needed.
“I would like to warmly welcome, Sir Tony Baldry who was part of the first British envoy or MP’s to visit Somaliland in 2002/03 and is an active advocate of Somaliland’s cause in different ways, economically and gaining international recognition.” Edna Aden.
Envoy is expected to meet on Sunday minister of interior, livestock, foreign and the president.
