Ministry of Foreign Affairs Statement
Somaliland Foreign Minister Dr. Saad Ali Shire opened the second (diplomatic) Representatives/Corps training, Tuesday, at Mansoor Hotel here in Hargeisa, the capital of the Republic of Somaliland.
This training will last for two days and will focus on training the new Representatives.
The training is attended by the opposition political parties, members of the civil society, the staff of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the new Representatives.
This training is crucial for the new Representatives to attend because it highlights the objectives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs which is to collectively seek international recognition.
The Foreign Minister said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs overall achievements has been remarkable with limited support from the international community.”
The Representatives were given a missions guideline which is one the many outcomes from the previous training last year.
The State Minister of Foreign Affairs added: “The Republic of Somaliland requires your commitment and focus on seeking international recognition. You, as the Representatives of Somaliland represent the whole cabinet of Somaliland.”
