The Deputy President of the Republic of Somaliland, Abdirahman Abdilahi Ismail Sayli welcomed a delegation from International Finance Cooperation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group. It finances and provides advice for private sector ventures and projects in developing countries.
Discussions between the two sides focusing on developing private sector with Ms. Kaltun Mohamed Hasan and Mr Patrick Banya both emphasizing close working ties with the Somaliland government.
A memorandum of understanding between Somaliland and the World Bank’s IFC was signed. The ministry of trade in conjunction with chamber of commerce signed the deal on Somaliland’s behalf.
The Commerce minister, presidential adviser on media, assistant planning minister, and secretary of Chamber of commerce attended the meeting held at the VP office.
