Kenya’s Harambee Starlets will take on the might of champions Nigeria in the 2016 CAF Africa Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) in Group B of the competition following the draw conducted on Sunday.
David Ouma’s side that made the continental showpiece for the first time when they knocked out Algeria in the final round of qualifiers in April will also play fellow North African titans, Ghana and Mali in their pursuit of a semi final ticket from the tough group.

Hosts Cameroon who were seeded second in the draw will take on Egypt, South Africa and Zimbabwe in Group A of the ten-team competition.
The draw came after Starlets booked their place in the finals of Cecafa Women’s tournament on Sunday by edging Ethiopia’s Lucy 3-2 in a nail-biting semi-final in Jinja, Uganda.
They will play Tanzania in Tuesday’s decider after the Kilimanjaro Queens thrashed hosts Uganda Crested Cranes 4-0 in the other last four clash.
