A Ugandan People’s Defence Force officer has died and three others are admitted in a Nairobi hospital. Their vehicle ran over a land mine at Barawe, Somalia. The soldier died on Tuesday night.
Jimmy Okello, Amos Mugisha, Paul Kyakuse and Dennis Bwanika were airlifted aboard a UN aircraft. Okello, Bwanika and Kyakuse were transferred by Amref ambulances to the hospital from the JKIA but Mugisha was declared dead by UPDF doctor Captain Richard Mwase.
The body was transferred to Lorna Funeral Home. Meanwhile, a Zambian national was on Tuesday arrested at the JKIA for being in possession of a wildlife trophy.
