Governor Mohamed Ibrahim Adan (Qabyotire) and Regional Education Officer, Hassan Jama, awarded Dahabshiil Group a certificate of honor for its role in promoting education and educational occasions.
Both regional officers lauded the companies’ ever willingness to stand by social activities and events marking milestones in the region’s developmental and civic initiatives.
Mr. Ali Ismail, Somtel regional marketing head, accepted the certificate on behalf of Dahabshiil.
The award was called at an event held in honor of high school students who had secured top grades to get listed in topmost national positions in the General Certificate of Education (GCE) exams.
Notably, Togdheer claimed 8 of 10 highest female scorers of the national exam.
The event was graced by the leader of the Somaliland ruling party, Kulmiye, Musa Behi Abdi, the Minister for Information, Osman Abdullahi Sahardid, the Vice Minister of Defense and the Chairman of the Somaliland National Board of Examinations, and a great number of students, parents and prominent citizens.
