Former Somali Parliamentarian responsible for Suicide Bombing at AMISOM gates

Former Somali member of parliament, Salah Badbaado was reportedly one of the suicide bombers in Mogadishu on Tuesday.

The twin blasts left 15 people dead and scores others injured. The attackers targeted United Nations offices near Aden Abdule International AirportFormer parliamentarian, Salah Badbaado is said to have been active in parliament before he resigned from his post and joined al-shabaab in early 2010. Al-shabaab announced he was one of the suicide bombers in the suicide attack.

Al-shabaab sympathisers confirmed that he was driving one of the vehicles carrying explosives, and he was targeting the AU force’s headquarters.

Some of those killed in the attack include security guards at the entrance of the airport.
