Egypt says visit to Somaliland a boost to mutual interests, cooperation

The Honorable Mohamed Edris, Assistant Minister of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, said his delegation’s visit to Somaliland and the meetings they held with his Excellency the President and Ministers of the government, was a boost to new horizons of maturity in cooperation and the development of mutual interests between the two countries.Mr. Edris, after close consultations with higher members of his ministry on the outcome of a visit a delegation he headed made to Somalia and the Republic of Somaliland , said his delegation was delighted by the attainments of the Republic of Somaliland and, especially, in the realization of peace and stability as well as on accelerated development in a score of sectors.

“Egypt,” he said “is keen to keep up visits like the one they had just concluded to underline the deep historical relations between Egypt and in the collaboration of projects and programs that bolster peace, stability, and inclusive development which realize/bring about areas of mutual interest”.
