The Somaliland speaker of House of Assembly Hon. Abdirahman Mohamed Abdilahi arrives in Addis Ababa after he received an official invitation from Ethiopia’s Prime Minister, Hailemariam Desalegn.
Officials from the foreign affairs ministry of Ethiopia and members from the Ethiopian parliament welcomed Irro at Bolo International airport upon arrival.
The trip embarked by House Speaker will last for four days and is due to hold talks with Ethiopia’s Prime Minister, Speaker of the parliament, heads of Ethiopia’s foreign ministry and other diplomats based in Addis Ababa.
Regional security, quest of recognition for the Republic of Somaliland and the forthcoming presidential and parliament elections in Somaliland will be high agenda in the talks that the opposition leader is due to hold with Ethiopian PM.
The visit embarked by House speaker comes after he established close cooperation with the leaders of Ethiopia.
