On Thursday, November 12th, four of ARC’s business partners received an award commemorating their work to help save lives around the globe.
Last Thursday, the American Refugee Committee (ARC) honored their key global business partners at an event held in their honor, attended by ARC board members and a select group of special guests. The evening was part of a series of events leading up to ARC’s annual Changemakers Ball.
The business leaders honored on Thursday were Dahabshiil, BMO Harris Bank,Atomic Data, andDorsey & Whitney LLP. ARC recognized these businesses as more than partners, but as kindred spirits in humanitarianism who go above and beyond to help ARC save lives around the world. ARC President and CEO Daniel Wordsworth presented each business with a plaque honoring their collaborations and achievements.
“I can say with certainty that we wouldn’t be in the place we are today without Dahabshiil, Atomic Data, Dorsey & Whitney, and BMO Harris Bank. These are people who are working with us to make change around the world right here from Minnesota. I couldn’t be prouder tonight of what we’ve accomplished, together.” ARC President and CEO Daniel Wordsworth.
All four global business partners convened again on Saturday evening to participate in the Changemakers Ball, which had over 1,000 attendees. Dahabshiil was the event’s Global Business Ambassador, Atomic Data was the Presenting Sponsor, BMO Harris Bank was a Host, and Dorsey & Whitney LLP was a sponsor.
About ARC: American Refugee Committee programs are built from the ground up. We work with people at the most vulnerable points in their lives, when they have lost everything to war or disaster. They let us know what they need most, and we work together to develop ways to help them get it. Our programs are as diverse as the people we serve, but they all work together for the same goal: to help people take back control of their lives. We have worked with refugees around the world for more than 30 years, and our 1600 staff members help nearly 3 million people a year throughout Africa, Asia and the Middle East. ARC is also building a 21st Century humanitarian organization rooted in co-creating with committed people to provide more meaningful solutions to humanitarian crises worldwide.
