3 Wounded As Somali Troops Trade Gunfire in Mogadishu, Somalia

At least three people have been wounded when Somali military soldiers exchanged heavy gunfire at Mogadishu’s Bakaro market on Sunday morning, witnesses said.

The confrontation started at Howlwadag district junction in Mogadishu after the army suspected each other for being militants, resulting in firefight which left three civilians injured, reports said.

The clash halted shortly the business activities of Bakaro market, that is the biggest marketplace of Somalia. Situation has returned to normal, with people restarting their daily commerce.
