The Republic of Somaliland’s Foreign Affairs State Minister Hon. Mohamed Rashid Sheikh Hassan has strongly refuted media reports stating that he has resigned from the portfolio.
The news has been circulated in all media outlets and this has prompted the minister to hold a press conference which he denied the existence of the reports.
Although he suffered from a long illness, the Minister has reiterated that he intends to serve for his country despite the challenges that he is faced with.
Hon. Mohamed Rashid is a scholar who has done much to push for SL’s search for a self determination.
Once President Ahmed Silanyo assumed power in 2010, he appointed him as the state minister for foreign affairs.
