The minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Dr. Khalid bin Mohamed al-attiya has today visited Mogadishu briefly and held talks with the Somali leadership before flying out at noon.
Security was beefed up in and out of Adden Adde international airport as Qatar top diplomat arrived in trip that was not made public.
Contrary to the practice where visiting dignitaries were provided with security by AMISOM, it was only the Somali armed forces on site throughout his stay.
He reportedly flew in from Kampala where he was on official duties.
