Unknown gunmen today killed a member of Puntland’s Parliament Mr. Adan Haji Hussein alias Adan Yare in Mogadishu’s Taleeh neighbourhood.
The MP was reportedly in Mogadishu for Medical treatment. He was shot dead at a place not far from the former Digfeer hospital (renamed Ordugan) where he was being treated.
Speaker of the Puntland assembly Mr. Said Hassan Shire expressed his shock at the senseless killing of the member and sent his condolences to the bereaved family.
Several members of the Federal republic’s parliament were previously killed in the city but today’s killing of Mr. Aden is the first one of its kind targeting a member from Puntland.
