Plastic bags have become a sanitary menace in Somaliland
After 120 day’s use of disposable plastic bags in Somaliland shall no longer be legal.
While giving the traders 120 to clear any outstanding stocks in their possession president Silanyo also ordered all local council in the country to institute relevant action upon expiration of the grace period granted for disposal of remaining stocks.
This plastic ban order and subsequent Sanitation concern raised by the state comes in the heels of a nationwide sanitation campaign led by president Silanyo
