H.E President Ahmed Mohamed Mahmoud (Silanyo) today received Ambassador Cat Evans ,the new Deputy British Ambassador to Addis Abba, Ethiopia.
During the meeting President Silanyo had lengthy discussions with the new Ambassador Cat Evans on which they explored ways to enhance existing and future bilateral relation between the Somaliland and the UK Government.
Hon Mawlid Mahmoud Ibrahim, the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International cooperation speaking during a joint press conference said, “Today we had the opportunity to hold lengthy discussions with the with British diplomat in which they explored ways to enhance future bilateral relation between the Somaliland and the UK Government and we also discussed matters relating to elections, the talks with Somaliland.
Speaking during a joint press conference held at the Presidential palace the British diplomat, “I very pleased to here in Somaliland for my first visit but I hope very much it will be the first visit of many, given the wonderful bilateral cooperation we have with the government of Somaliland and of course our long historic ties.
The new Ambassador Cat Evans added, “We had very fruitful discussion with the President across all the different areas we work on and I look forward for that kind of dialogue going forward, thank very much.
The new British Ambassador Cat Evans replaces the former deputy Ambassador Deputy Chris Allan to Addis Abba, Ethiopia.
