At least 13 Somali immigrants died after their vehicle involved in an accident on the outskirts of Khartoum, Sudan. Those immigrants had the intention of proceeding to Libya and then to Italy before meeting their deaths.
Their vehicle was reportedly over speeding as the driver was trying to get them to their destinations in time as they were in that country illegally. Fiidow Mohamud Fiidow of the Somali Embassy in Sudan told the media that the embassy is trying to get people who may recognize the bodies before burial.
Mostly Somali youths leave the country while engaging in dangerous journeys abroad in search of better life.
