The largest number of ministers left for Nairobi for talks on development initiatives with donor on Saturday and Sunday, respectively.
A press release issued to the media by Sa’ad Musa Abdi, press officer for the ministry of agriculture, stated that the Ministers will also discuss matters relating to the support of donors to Somaliland democracy initiatives including the upcoming presidential and parliamentary elections with donors.
The Ministers are expected to meet diplomatic missions of several countries central to the support the international community gives to Somaliland to ensure that bi-lateral cooperation does not suffer any skids on the part of the Somaliland government.
The ministers will, in the process, highlight the important of a timely continuation of support goven to further the democratic process in Somaliland.
Ministers in Nairobi, today, are, namely: Mohamed Behi Yonis, minister for foreign affairs; Ms Shukri Haj Ismail , minister for Environment; Dr, Suleiman Ahmed Issa, minister for Health; Dr. Farah Elmi Geedoole, minister for Agriculture, and Dr. Sa’ad Ali Shire – Minister for National Planning and International Cooperation.
