Blood and body parts littered the ground outside police station in northern Somalia, the grisly result of bomb blast that witnesses have said, left 4 soldiers wounded in Bosaso town of northeastern Bari region.
Witnesses said that armed men, taught to be Al Shabaab militants threw 2 grenades into police station, controlling by forces from Somalia’s semi-autonomous Puntland state, adding that 4 soldiers were seriously hurt during the raid.
In the aftermath of the attack, the perpetrators reportedly escaped from the troubled area before they were arrested, according to locals who spoke to Shabelle Media in Mogadishu via phone from the town.
Somalia’s semi-autonomous Puntland forces began massive search operations in the town to arrest the criminals who carried out the attacks against on the police station in Bosaso town of northeastern Bari region.
This hit and run assault comes days after at least 60 people have been killed in a deadly battle between Somalia’s Puntland forces and Al Shabaab militants near Galgala Mountains outside Bosasi town.
